Acknowledging traditional territory as a sign of respect

The ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵs Board of Education acknowledges traditional territory to honour and respect the land’s original inhabitants. Adopting this practice fosters better relationships and understanding with the Qayqayt First Nation and provides a welcoming atmosphere to the land where peoples gather.

ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵs recognizes and acknowledges the Qayqayt First Nation, as well as all Coast Salish peoples, on whose traditional and unceded territories we live, we learn, we play and we do our work.
